Dr. Danielle Clealand's book The Power of Race in Cuba: Racial Ideology and Black Consciousness During the Revolution (Oxford University Press, 2017) has won another award! The book recently earned The W.E.B. DuBois Distinguished Book Award from the National Conference of Black Political Scientists. This award is given to books"whose subjects in some way grapple with fundamental questions of political power, race, and other intersections of oppression."
