On November 4th, 2020, forces loyal to the former governing party of the Tigray region in northern Ethiopia, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, attacked federal military bases sparking a counter-offensive by the Ethiopian and Eritrean governments. The counter-offensive has been accused of grave human rights violations and has displaced over 60,000 refugees to neighboring Sudan. Join us as we delve into ongoing social and political conflicts in Ethiopia and the neighboring region.
