Combined MA in AADS/PhD in GSS Graduate Student Abby Gondek to Participate in Summer Institute

AADS Graduate Student Abby Gondek, who is enrolled in the combined MA in AADS/ Ph.D. in Global and Sociocultural Studies (GSS), has been selected to participate in the 2016 Summer Institute: “Towards a Non-Eurocentric Academia: Border Thinking and Decoloniality from Asia to Africa and from Europe to the Americas.” The Summer Institute will be held at UNC-Duke campuses over ten days between May 14 and May 22, 2016. Participation in this program is quite selective- out of 80 applications, only 25 were selected to participate. The objective of the Summer Institute is to provide participants with the opportunity to research and do an oral presentation on their research project at a conference hosted by the Institute.

Congratulations, Abby!
