Felix Jean-Louis, AADS Graduate Student, Successfully Defended His Thesis

Please join us in congratulating AADS graduate student, Felix Jean-Louis, for successfully defending his thesis on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014. Titled “Harlemites, Haitians and the Black International: 1915-1934” the thesis examines the intellectual and political alliances forged among African Americans and Haitians during the United States’s military occupation of Haiti during the early 20th century. Felix is the second AADS student to graduate this academic year following Jheanell Haynes who defended her thesis last fall. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in History at FIU. We wish him and Jheanell the best of luck in their future endeavors!
