RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Patterson’s research focuses on government bureaucracy and its relationship with marginalized groups. Her most recent research examines ethics and hip-hop culture, the government/hip-hop nexus, and identification and validation of hip-hop epistemology. Additional research interests include bureaucratic dysfunction, particularly as it impacts the relationship between government bureaucracies and young men of African descent.
