AADS Core Faculty member, Dr. Andrea Queeley, was invited to speak at two universities.
Dr. Jean Muteba Rahier, the Director of AADS, came back from a three week-trip to Belgium and France. While in Belgium, he conducted archival research for his project on Sex, Race, and Power in the Belgian Congo. While in France, he participated in the many events, making presentations or giving lectures.
Congratulations to Dr. John F. Clark, professor of Politics and International Relations and AADS Affiliate Faculty, for co-editing a special issue of the journal /Review of African Political Economy/, (Vol 40 No. 135 [March 2013]). Four of the papers included in this edition of ROAPE were originally presented in the AADS’ conference “The Wars of the Democratic Republic of Congo: Human Survival and Social Change Amidst Devastation" in March of 2011.
